A new map of Revel Grove for 2011

OK, in truth it is the same old map, just slightly altered from the kinda new one we know and love. I was hoping to sel lthem on a whol enew nautical look, but no dice. AOW will have the new look at the booth though.

So if you want to compare, the festival site stil has the old design. In short, there is one thng removed, another added, and two things have been changed. Yes, I am leaving the details out. Anyone interested can look over the map and figure it out if they want to take the time.

Privateer Feast #10: "Ten years of the Best Support A Boobie Ever Had!"
Team Wench will hold its Tenth Annual Privateer Feast “To Save the Treasured Chest” benefiting breast cancer awareness and research on Saturday, March 5th, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Join us in our endeavor to reach new heights with “Ten Years of the Best Support a Boobie Ever Had!”

Team Wench will be returning to last year's venue, the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company (VFC) in Severna Park, Maryland. Its huge galley and well-stocked hold will be serving up plenty of mouth-watering dishes to satisfy your hunger. Hungry, or should I say THIRSTY, for more than a fine meal? The grog will flow freely again this year and yer still welcome to bring yer own wondrous libations. If you prefer to wet yer whistle with libations of a softer nature, not to worry, we'll have plenty of options on-hand. How will you bide your time on this voyage? We've shanghaied the best in piratical entertainment and plundered quite a bit of rare & valuable swag just for you to bid on. So pack yer sea chest or grab your ditty bag and prepare to set sail!

Feast tickets will go on sale through TicketLeap beginning Friday, January 14 at Noon for the Early Bird Price $50 (plus TicketLeap Fees). Be sure to buy your tickets before Monday, February 14 at 11:59 p.m EST to get the Early Bird price.

If you wait til February 15 you can still buy Feast tickets, but at the Regular Price of $60 (plus TicketLeap Fees). Tickets will be available at this price until Wednesday, March 2 at 6:00 p.m. EST.

Please visit http://pf.TeamWench.org/ for complete details.

Redistribution of this letter is not only permitted but encouraged - Thank you!

Candy Coated Evil Pin
I've lost my Candy Coated Evil pin again and folks, I need my warning label.

If you've found it or seen someone other than the original (me) wearing it please do the karmic thing and get it back to me. You can give it to any rose seller and they will bring it back behind the scenes and it'll get back to me.

Please, everyone needs to know the dangers of the best tasting evil there is, and they won't know unless I get my pin. Thank you kindly and hope your faire has been a great one.

X-posted - I'm sorry.

Tee Morris and Sonic Boom.
Tee Morris lost his wife suddenly this week. He now has a young daughter to raise on his own in these tough economic times. If you remember Tee from his time at the Maryland Renaissance Festival, or if you've read and enjoyed his books, or listened to his podcasts, or if you just have a buck or two that could go to help out in his time of need, please chip in what you can.

That seasonal stuff
Just to get out the word before we reach the final sound of cannons.

Four more of this years MDRF GPS are now available. (Grove Pub Selector, aka Key chain w/ MDRF map) and they are the last four that will have this seasons map.

When it comes to the oak aging barrels, there are three items left with this seasons map burned on them. A 1 litre barrel canteen, a 2 litre counter barrel, and a three litre wall barrel.

Whereas there will be barrels and maps next season, they will be with the 2010 theme (Whatever that is), so if you like the Revenant Grove spooky design, this is the last chance to pick one up and not make it a special order.

Ride to/from MDRF/NW DC on Sat

Still looking for a ride to and from MDRF this Saturday. I live in NW DC, near Takoma Park and Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital. Need to be on-site no later than 9am, and will have to stick around until about 8pm. Gas money, other perks can be worked out for your troubles. If you can help me out in either direction, or know someone who can, please let me know.

EDIT: I have found a ride out to the MDRF site Sat morning, still looking for a ride home to NW DC.

With the Cardinal's Blessing

At long last the highly requested Wooden Blessing of Sinnius Vice can be yours!

OK, Let me clarify, a Blessing on an Establishment, cuz a wooden bodice blessing just might not be too comfortable.

Sinnius has given these his stamp of approval. They are 5x7 red alder plaques, and there will be two different versions. Time for burning is short so for this weekend I will only have six (3 of each) at the booth.

Come on by and get a blessing just like the old days!

Barleyjuice in the hooooooooooowse!
For those of you who have not experienced Barleyjuice live... be sure to be at faire this weekend and attend every one of their shows!

If I had known before I'd made all our vacation plans that they would be at MDRF this weekend, I would have forgone (forwent?) attending during Pirate Weekend to be there for Kyf, Swanny, Jimmy Carbomb, and the rest.

You see, I've been a 'Juicer for a few years now and the deal was sealed 2 years ago when they came to Alaska and hung out with our merry band and performed at our Scottish Highland Games. They are amazingly talented and more fun than a barrel of drunken monkeys (you can tell 'em I said that!)

If anyone has a chance to meet the guys, tell them that Shannon (of Rogues & Wenches) says hello and is kicking herself for not being there this weekend.

Go. See. Experience. Adore. :-)
